Despite the amount of walking we have done, today we set a record for our longest single hike as a family. We walked 11km around the Deep Creek Circuit.

It was a necessity if we were to see some of the best parts of Deep Creek National Park. Park upgrades had shut road access to a section of the park. So it was legs or nothing. First to Deep Creek Falls, the onwards to Tapanappa Lookout. It was a series of progressively more difficult ups and downs into Deep Creek Cove before we faced one last climb out to return to Trig Campsite. Tough, tricky but very rewarding.

Ironically, the kids did brilliantly and we have been subjected to far more whinging on far shorter walks.

We were spolit for choice photo wise. But this was our lunch stop at Deep Creek Cove.
