We had decided to take a road less popular and head towards Karijini via Millstream-Chichester National Park. It was a single night stop, but we wished we’d made it two.
First we were amazed by the wildflowers as we made our way in. We thought we were too late in the season for wildflowers, but not it seemed near Millstream. We paid Python Pool a visit (not worth it), before stopping at Deep Reach Pool. This was clean, clear, deep and surrounded by lush vegetation. It was another one of those time we badly wished for the kayak.
We left thinking far more should make the stop, although we weren’t complaining about the solitude.
