We’d held back on big ticket tourist items are spending big early in the trip. The temptation to swim with Sea Lions proved too much though.
It was worth every cent. A boat ride out to one of the islands they use as a nursery and we were in the water swimming with the seals. Now you cannot touch them or chase them, but they are so curious they find you soon enough. They play so well under the water, diving, gliding chasing and almost dancing.
We all got to watch them do their thing before we returned to the boat. Despite the wetsuits it was still cool. Not to worry, the sea lions put on another show as we packed up to depart. This one was visible from the boat.
