One of the reasons for staying at Serpentine Falls was the series of mountain bike trails just up the road in Lane Poole. It was time to get back on the bikes.
These trails were amazing. We could create a decent loop through the connecting green trails. After some steep uphill to start we got to go downhill and traverse some absolutely beautiful forest. It was one of the prettiest trails we have ever ridden. There was another small section of uphill before a flowing downhill run to the carpark. There were certainly some whinges as it was steep and full of switchbacks, but a swim in the river soon fixed that.
