After a big day of riding we took it easy with a drive tour of some of the old timber towns.

The area was once a hive of forestry activity. This meant a series of small mill towns sprung up to support the mills. Our drive wound us through both old growth and regrowth forest as well as some of these little towns. Thankfully the logging is long gone but the towns are still there, catering to tourists rather than loggers and millers. It was a very pretty drive we enjoyed the scenery and history.
