On a cold and windy afternoon in Albany we went to visit the replica of the Brig Amity.
We are a bit museum and historied out, so we skipped everything else and spent our time exploring a perfect replica of the boat that settled the west. It carried the first European settlers of Albany. It was interesting to learn not only the hardships they faced in establishing a settlement but on the boat itself.
It was big, but not really for more the size of the crew. Terribly basic, cramped and dark, they would have been happy to land, despite the challenges.
