When we arrived at Orleans Bay, they gave us a mud map showing the walks in the area. One of them was to a remote beach.

The office recommended it and stated we’d have the beach to ourselves. We parked the car and walked away. Soon we’d left the fishermen behind and were following the 4WD tracks through the sand dunes. It would be a very tough drive and we didn’t think we would have company.

When we eventually got to the end, it was a beautiful spot. Best of all its was our own little private beach. Not a soul to share it with. We relaxed, ate and returned. It was only on the return that we saw another couple doing the same walk and then a helicopter dropped by for a visit too.

Timing is everything.
