We got our first ever glimpse of the mighty Murray River, the longest river in Australia.

It’s part of Australian folklore and was pretty important to our early development. Our stop in Morgan gave us our first ever sighting of it. After almost four months of flooding, water levels had returned to normal, but the evidence of the flood was everywhere.

We got some information about the floods, where best to see the floodplains, how it looked pre-flood etc. Usual engineer stuff. It was an unscheduled stop, but worth every minute of it.
