Damn school holidays were still limiting our plans and we’d only been able to secure two nights in the Innes National Park.

It turns out that was enough to explore and experience the place. It didn’t have any particularly long walks and we could spend the day driving and doing short walks to see the sights.

We ticked off everything that interested us; Cape Spencer Lighthouse, Cable Bay, shipwrecks, surfbreaks, fishing villages and finally Shell Beach.

The highlight was the longest walk we did and we nearly didn’t finish it. The first half in was rather hot and boring, we hoped that once we crossed the rise the views and breeze would improve. Good thing we persevered as the view opened up and you could see both ways down the rugged coastline.

Score one for keeping going.

Perseverence pays
