If you aren’t made of money, the only way to really see Uluru is to go all the way around it. You can then see every face and get the full experience.
We did it on bikes. Faster than walking, it makes the 10ish km loop more than doable with kids and you still get as close as you are allowed. We went clockwise in the morning, straight from sunrise to the path. It was good. No complaints from anyone.
It was so good we went again that afternoon, anti-clockwise closer to sunset. The different angles meant we saw different features we’d missed in the morning. Again, no complaints from anyone. Abby and Christian debated a third time around another day. It was that good.
Back where?
Brisbane until 24 June then we move into the house on 30 June.
