The slightly less famous, but no less special sibling of Uluru is Kata Tjuta. It’s a series of rocks created by the same process.
Not as big as Uluru, Kata Tjuta is probably more beautiful. It lacks the imposing stature, but makes up for it in complexity and intricacy. The series of rocks harbour gullies which are almost canyon like, filled with creeks and vegetation. You can see smaller stones and bubbles in is surface. On our visit we walked the full circuit and went right inside, through the gullies and canyons.
Don’t ever skip Kata Tjuta. If Uluru is spiritual, this place is the calm green oasis.
