On the second of four large driving days we had a surprise, wattle flowers.
A variety (or maybe more than one) of wattles lined the highway for literally hundreds of kilometres. They were almost all in full bloom and covered in little yellow flowers. It was a sea of yellow on both sides of the road.
It made what was otherwise a long and boring drive a little bit more pleasant.
