For our last weekend in Mackay we made some plans to catch up with some local friends. We spent the morning at the park with one set and a couple of hours in the afternoon at the caravan park with another.
Given we’d only been in Mackay a relatively short time, it was great to have some old friends of Abby’s still in town. We’d seen them both on a couple of occasions and as always had a blast. The funniest part about these farewells was that the discussion was heavily caravan focussed. Not just because of what we were about to embark upon, but because they had both placed orders for vans of their own.
While the kids played, we talked caravans, travel plans, accessories, things you need and things you don’t. Best of all we knew that we’d have some travelling buddies in the future. I guess great minds think alike.
