Our second full day in Litchfield was again greeted with a smoke haze. Fortunately, it didn’t affect our visit to Tjaetaba Falls.

Tjaetaba Falls is a smaller waterfall by comparison to the others in Litchfield. You walk in along the beautiful Greenant Creek, where the border between the lush vegetation of the stream bed and the dry savannah is like a hard drawn line.

The climb to the falls is enough to get you hot and sweaty, even early in the day. We came prepared for a swim but it was decided that it was not safe to swim here. There were some unhappy children who voiced their displeasure at both their parents and falls. Although pretty and with a nice view down the valley, the girls were not fans of Tjaetaba Falls. We did make up for it with a visit to Florence Falls later in the morning.
