After an earlier introduction to the bombing of Darwin at Adelaide River, we stopped for a visit at the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Bombing of Darwin Museum.
As far as kids and museums go, it can be rather hit and miss at times. This one was a hit though. Instead of hours or reading, this museum was all about movies, 3D holograms, virtual reality and touchable experiences. It kept us all interested (the kids loved the VR headsets) while we learned.
Beside the museum was the obligatory bright white “Darwin” tourist sign. We took the opportunity to take a photo. It matches the ones we took at Lake Taupo in our previous adventures.
