We’d skipped Edith Falls on our first visit to Katherine. We weren’t going to miss it again and stopped in on our way through from Kakadu.
Our confidence in finding caravan parking spots for roadside spots has increased and we thought we’d save ourselves a 120km round trip and do it on our way through. It did mean we were walking through the hottest part of the day.
We did the hard part first, climbing the steep walk to the top of the falls. The reward was having our lunch and swimming in the top pool. It comes with its own small falls and you can swim your way through the interconnected pools to the bottom of them.
Edith Falls is great for another reason – a second swim. This is a rarity and after a longer and hotter walk to the bottom pool we re-cooled before continuing to Katherine.
