We made one last stop on the Dampier Peninsular, the Beagle Bay Mother of Pearl Church.
This church is famous and it’s not hard to understand why. Built by missionaries and embraced by the local community it has stood proudly for over 100 years. What makes this church so special is not just its German design, but the fact so much of it was beautified with Mother of Pearl.
We were impressed by both the beauty of the final result and the effort in achieving it. Abby and Christian have visited many churches, but this was special as it so strongly reflected the community which it serves.
