Given how big the Flinders Ranges NP was, was decided to visit Arkaroo on our way in. It gave us some much-needed exercise after a long driving day and was home to some indigenous rock art.

It was a steep and slippery walk on the slow climb to the rock art overhang. There were no complaints though as this gave us our first real glimpses of the Flinders Ranges. The rock art was different to anything else we’d seen. But the views were the showstopper. The Flinders Ranges are simply magnificent to look at. This would be a special part of the trip.
