This word of the day was a little contentious. Christian wanted complete (as the Isuzu was finally done). Abby, Laura and Hannah proposed several alternatives, but nothing could be agreed. In the end we settled on cousins as it was the one thing that made everyone happiest that day.
On our third car free day and last before we hit the road, the highlight was seeing our Melbourne based family. Abby’s sister and her family were embarking on their only adventure in their camper van. Unexpectedly the stars aligned and our travel paths (or lack of ours) crossed over in Mackay.
They stopped by for a little while, they saw our van and we saw their camper. Two rather different ways of traveling, but what ever gets you on the road. The kids played and we compared notes of future plans, places to stay, things to do, school on the road and whether we’d make stop for a visit in Melbourne.
It was only a short stop, they had to keep moving, with nearly an hour of driving still to go and we had some last-minute preparation ahead. A very enjoyable aligning of the stars.
