It seemed that Northern Australia got a fair bit of rain over the last wet season. The end result was our drive today was more of a dodge.
The roads were terrible. Full of washouts, sunken sections, potholes and just uneven. In some of the worst sections there was no road, it had been washed away. It took insane amounts of concentration to keep going without hitting anything. But we eventually (and rather slowly) made it.
Main Roads have their work cutout for them.
