One of the items on our Australian based bucket list was to visit Lake Eyre. We couldn’t quite make it work on this trip, so settled for a stop at Lake Eyre South.
Despite not being the main event, it was still impressive. The lake went for as far as the eye could see and we are still uncertain if we could catch glimpses of water or the reflections of the salt. We knew that water had been flowing into Lake Eyre, so maybe we did see water. Regardless, getting up close even to the lesser lake was pretty special.
