Time to explore the bottom of the south west and visit Cape Leeuwin. It wasn’t just the cape but the whole length of the coast was part of the Naturaliste Leeuwin National Park.

It was a pretty special. It started with a visit to Hamelin Bay to see the rays before heading south to Cape Leeuwin. We explored the Cape and went into the Lighthouse Precinct here, spotting where two oceans meet. Then back into Augusta for some more sightseeing and extra beach stops. Our next stop was Jewel Cave. It was a far more sedate experience than Giant Cave, but far more beautiful.

We rounded out the day with a visit to the famous Margaret River mouth surf break. Too dangerous for us to swim, but it’s obvious why board riders love the place.
