We had been spying wildflowers throughout our whole journey so far. Lesueur National Park is one of the best spots to see them.
Despite being slightly out of seasons there were flowers everywhere. All different kinds, many different colours. It was beautiful. During the peak wildflower season it must be absolutely amazing.
The rest of our plans that day were scuppered by bush fires, rapidly growing, out of control and fanned by the wind, it closed the Stockyard Gully Caves in the North. A second fire was getting close to town from the south as well. Smoke everywhere.
