While we were in Yulara, we decided to see the Fields of Lights display. It was something different to the rest of the area.
The idea is an art installation and it’s quite simply a huge field of lights. Tens of thousands of individual fibreoptic lights laid out in various shapes, intersected by paths. They change colour slowly and the view changes as you explore the installation. It seemed best viewed either from the top of the slight rise, as the lights are a sea in front of you. Otherwise viewing from the base had them gentling rising up the slopes.
The experience was certainly something different.
