For the first time since we got bogged we had the 4WD in low range. It was well and truly needed to crawl up and down the steep slopes to Blowhole Beach in Deep Creek National Park.

This time low range was a precaution on the advice of the ranger. A much better option than a necessary evil to get out of a sticky situation. The crawl certainly beat the alternative walk as we got a sight of Kangaroo Island.

Blowhole beach is named for the whales that pass by at other times of year. No whales for us but still a view worth the effort.
