Carnarvon has a space centre and museum. It tells the story of various NASA missions into space, but focusses on those where the installation at Carnarvon made an impact.

It was good. I am sure the Kennedy Space Center is better, but for a small town in regional WA this was excellent. They had some excellent displays, interesting artifacts and made the valuable contribution Carnarvon (and Australia) made to the space race clear. The amount of famous space faces that had made the effort to visit (including Buzz Aldrin and Andy Thomas) shows how well they have done it.

A very enjoyable and informative morning.

Dressed and preparing for launch (somewhat reluctantly)
