The kid’s first day obsession at our camp site at Eungella Dam. The humble rope swing, made from a tie down strap thrown over a tree branch. It was placed by a camper before us and was a few metres away from our chosen spot.
The swing was the perfect child-minder. It kept the girls occupied while we set up, cooked, chilled and did anything else we needed. By that evening, Laura had given herself blisters and Hannah’s legs were scratched and sore. The swing was too loved and needed to be given a rest on Day 2.
