This trip has taken us away from our comfort zones a few times. Taking the 4WD track form Palm Creek into Palm Valley pushed us again.
It was a track alright. It took us about 30mins to do the 4km, only slightly faster than walking pace. We made a few stops to figure our way though but made it in fine. We enjoyed our walks, seeing the palms and cycads in the desert oasis.
The way out was more of a test. Despite our best efforts and plenty of get out and looks, we bottomed out three times. No damage was done, other than to the pride and nerves. There was a questioning of life choices, but eventually we made our way back out.
