We made a visit to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to continuing our cultural learning. The centre has an incredible interpretive display of the indigenous culture and history or the Kakadu Park and region.
The girls also spent some time with an elder and her nieces making bracelets from pandanus fronds. They learned how to weave the bracelet, how the pandanus is collected, dried and dyed.
Just sitting and listening as the women spoke was enlightening as they discussed everything from family, techniques and the death of the Queen. We are very grateful for their generosity.
