The word of the day was work, but fortunately it was not required of us. It was the theme of our visit to the Australian Workers Heritage Centre.

We spent a leisurely morning discovering how work, workers, workers rights and Australia in general have changed since the late 1800s. For a small town experience the centre is certainly comprehensive. We spent an entire morning wandering the displays and looking at the centre.

By the end, we were certainly glad we didn’t work even 30 years ago. More importantly though, as we enter into our fourth month of unemployment we are still happy not to be in work!
